This can occur due to corrupt files, improper saving methods, or PDF formatting issues. This article guides you through the steps to resolve such issues efficiently for both Word documents and PDF files.
Steps to Resolve Word Document Upload Issues
Open the document in MS Word.
Navigate to File > Save As and save the document locally, either by replacing the old file or saving it as a new one.
Try uploading the new document again to SpotDraft.
If the issue persists, follow these alternative steps:
Upload the document to Google Drive.
Open it with Google Docs.
Download the document as a Microsoft Word (.docx) file through File > Download > Microsoft Word (.docx).
Try uploading the new document again to SpotDraft.
If the issue persists, follow these steps:
Open a new document on Google Docs.
Click on File > Open > Upload.
Browse to the relevant location on your device and upload the document. This will automatically open the files in Google Docs.
Download the document as a Microsoft Word (.docx) file through File > Download > Microsoft Word (.docx).
Try uploading the new document again to SpotDraft.
Steps to Resolve Section Protected Document Issues
Open the document in MS Word.
Press Control/Command + A to select all the texts in the document.
Press Control/Command + C to copy the texts.
Open a new document on MS Word.
Paste the text using Control/Command + V and save it.
Try uploading the new document again to SpotDraft.

Steps to Resolve PDF Upload Issues
If you're experiencing issues uploading PDF files (such as signed contracts), follow these steps to fix the PDF using your browser.
Using Mozilla Firefox
Open the PDF file in Mozilla Firefox browser
Click on the printer icon or press Ctrl/Command + P to open the print dialog
Select "Save to PDF" or "Microsoft Print to PDF" as the destination
Click "Save" and choose a location to save the fixed PDF
Try uploading the newly saved PDF to SpotDraft
Using Google Chrome
Open the PDF file in Google Chrome browser
Click on the printer icon or press Ctrl/Command + P to open the print dialog
Under "Destination," select "Save as PDF"
Click "Save" and choose a location to save the fixed PDF
Try uploading the newly saved PDF to SpotDraft
Note: This browser-based PDF fixing method resolves most PDF upload issues by removing corrupt elements or formatting problems that prevent successful uploads.
