When a counterparty sends back a revised contract over email, SpotDraft's AI can recognize it, upload it as a new version, and keep your team informed, all without anyone needing to open the attachment or upload it themselves. This keeps the contract record current and the negotiation moving, even when no one is actively watching the inbox.

You send a vendor agreement out for review. A few days later, the counterparty's legal team replies with tracked changes and a note saying "please find the revised agreement attached." Every automatic upload is recorded in the contract's Activity Log, clearly attributed to SpotDraft rather than a specific person, so it's always clear how a version was added.

FAQs 💬

Will SpotDraft ever upload something I didn't want uploaded? No. SpotDraft only uploads a version automatically when it's confident the attachment is genuinely a revised contract. If there's any doubt, no upload happens and your team is notified to review it instead.

What happens if a counterparty sends a signed copy? It's held for your review rather than uploaded automatically. You'll get a Slack notification so you can take it from there.

Does this apply once a contract is out for signature? No. Automatic upload only applies while a contract is in Draft or Redlining.

Who shows up as the uploader in the Activity Log? SpotDraft, not an individual team member, so it's easy to tell an upload happened automatically.
