Understanding the Counterparties Page in SpotDraft

The Counterparties page is your central hub for managing all the individuals and organizations that your team interacts with through SpotDraft. This guide will help you understand the basics of navigating and using this page.

Accessing the Counterparties Page

  1. Click the "Manage" button on the left-hand navigation menu.

  2. Select "Counterparties" from the options that appear.

Note: Access to manage counterparties is controlled by team permissions. If you cannot access the Counterparties page, contact your workspace admin to request "Manage counterparties" access for your team.

Understanding the Counterparties List

The Counterparties page displays a list of all individuals and organizations in your workspace. Each row represents a single counterparty and includes the following information:

  • Name: The name of the counterparty (individual or organization).

  • Type: Whether the counterparty is an "Individual" or "Organization".

  • Contacts: The primary contact(s) associated with the counterparty.

  • Primary Address: The primary address of the counterparty.

Filtering and Searching

You can filter the list of counterparties by:

  • Active/Archived: Choose to view only active or archived counterparties.

  • Type: View only "Individuals" or "Organizations".

You can also search for specific counterparties by typing their name in the search bar at the top.

Adding New Counterparties

To add a new counterparty to your workspace:

Permission Required: If the "New Counterparty" button appears grayed out or inactive, you need the "Manage Counterparties" permission. Contact your workspace admin to enable this permission under Access Control → Teams → Select your team → Adjust permissions.

  1. Click the "New Counterparty" button at the top of the page.

  2. Choose whether to add an "Individual" or "Organization".

Editing Counterparty Information

You can edit the information associated with any existing counterparty by:

Permission Required: If you don’t see the edit icon (pencil) next to counterparty rows, you need the "Manage Counterparties" permission enabled for your team.

  2. Click the "Edit" icon (pencil) next to the counterparty's row.
