This guide will show you how to enable Track Changes view in SpotDraft, allowing you to easily identify and review any edits made to your contracts, whether by colleagues or counterparties.

This guide is for both SpotDraft administrators and general users who create and send contracts.

Why is this important?
Enabling Track Changes view is essential for:

  • Reviewing edits: SpotDraft's Track Changes view highlights all changes made to a contract, making it easy to see what has been added, removed, or modified.
  • Understanding the negotiation process: You can track the counterparty's feedback and revisions, helping you understand their perspective and negotiate effectively.

How to Enable Track Changes View:

  1. Navigate to the Contract Record:
    • Open the contract from the repository which you want to view.
  2. Access the Contract View:
    • Click the "View Contract" button on the contract record.

  1. Enable Track Changes:
    • By default, SpotDraft will show the contract in a "View" mode, where Track Changes are not visible. To enable Track Changes, you'll need to:
      • Click on the Collaboration tab
      • Click on Display Mode
      • Select Markup and Balloons

  1. Review the Changes:
    • You'll see the Track Changes view, highlighting all edits made to the contract.

Note:

  1. This has to be done only once. Once the changes are applied, it will be automatically applicable to older and new contracts.
