Creating a New Task

Tasks & Reminders in SpotDraft is a built-in task management system for contracts, designed to help you create, track, and stay organized with ease.

Here are the steps to create new tasks on SpotDraft:

  1. Open the Task Center: Click on the Task Center icon on the header. This will open a side-panel on the right side of your screen.

  1. Click on the “New Task” button to create a new task.

  1. Fill out the Task Information: In the Task Center window, fill out the questionnaire, which includes fields for:
    • Task Name
    • Due Date
    • Assignee (the person responsible for completing the task)
    • Note (optional)
    • Link to a contract (optional)

  1. Add Reminders (Optional): Add reminder notifications before or after the due date. You can add up to 5 reminders

  1. Save: Click the "Save" button to create and assign your new task. The task will be added to the Task Center.

Tracking Individual Tasks Associated with a Contract

To access individual tasks assigned to you associated with a contract, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Contract Manage Page: Click on the contract you want to view tasks for.
  2. Open the Task Center: Click the Task Center icon on the contract header

  1. Filter for "My Tasks": To view tasks assigned to you for that specific contract, click the "My Tasks" dropdown menu and select "My Tasks". This will display all tasks associated with that contract.

Using Filters on the Task Center

Here are the steps for using filters in the Task Center feature on SpotDraft:

  1. Open the Task Center: Click the Task Center icon on the navigation bar.
  2. Use the "My Tasks" Dropdown: The "My Tasks" dropdown menu lets you filter tasks based on different criteria:
    • All Tasks: Displays all tasks, including tasks you have assigned to others and ones assigned to you.
    • My Tasks: Displays all tasks that are assigned to you personally.
    • Assigned by Me:  Displays all tasks you have assigned to others

 

Managing the Task List

To edit or delete a task in SpotDraft, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Task Center: Click the Task Center icon on the navigation bar.
  2. Select the Task: Choose the specific task you want to edit or delete.
  3. Edit or Delete: Click on the pencil icon to edit the task, or click on the trash icon to delete it.
  4. Mark Completed: From this view, you can also mark a task as completed

Note that only manually created tasks can be edited or deleted today. Tasks created automatically by SpotDraft based on the state of the contract cannot be modified.
