The Activity Log in SpotDraft gives you a detailed record of all actions that have been taken on a particular contract, making it easy to track the contract's journey. This guide explains how to use filters in the Activity Log to find specific types of activity quickly.
Who is this guide for?
This guide is for all SpotDraft users who work with contracts, both administrators and general users.
Why are Activity Log filters helpful?
SpotDraft's Activity Log can be quite long, especially for contracts that have a lot of activity. Filters make it much easier to find the specific information you need without scrolling through a long list of logs.
Types of Filters:
The Activity Log has four filters that you can use:
- Comments: View logs related to comments that have been added by users to collaborate on the logs.
- Emails: View logs related to emails sent and received using Send flow for this contract through SpotDraft.
- Approvals: View logs related to approvals or rejections of changes made to the contract.
- Versions: View logs showing when new contract versions have been published via uploads or editor.
Applying Filters:
-
Open the Activity Log:
- Navigate to the Contract Record.
- Go on the "Activity Log" tab.
- By default, “All” will be selected and all the logs will be shown
-
Click on a Filter Chip:
- You will see filter chips listed at the top of the Activity Log beside the All chip.
- Click on the chip for the type of log you want to view (e.g., "Comments").
- Only logs matching that filter will be shown from that point forward.
-
Deselecting Filters:
- If you want to see all logs again, click on the filter chip again.
Combining Filters:
- You can combine filters to get even more specific results. For example, if you only want to see emails and contract versions, you can apply both the "Emails" and "Versions" filters.
Key Points:
- Filter Scope: Filters are applied to all logs in the Activity Log present at the time of it being applied.
- Refreshing the Log: To see all logs, refresh the summary page or deselect the filter or click on All chip.
