At SpotDraft, we're dedicated to making our platform intuitive and aligned with your contract workflows. Based on user feedback and our commitment to clarity, we're updating how you manage contract stages in SpotDraft. These updates include both terminology changes and a reorganization of where certain actions are located, designed to streamline your workflow and make key actions easier to find.
Terminology Updates
We've made some changes to the terminology used for key contract actions to better align with your understanding of contract stages:
From "Mark for Execution" to "Send for Signing"
Previously, the action to prepare a contract for signature was labeled "Mark for Execution." We've learned that "Send for Signing" more accurately reflects the action's purpose and aligns with the contract lifecycle. This change will make it clearer that you are initiating the process of sending the contract out for signatures.
From "Unmark for Execution" to "Move back to Redlining"
Similarly, the action to revert a contract from the signing stage was previously labeled "Unmark for Execution." We've found that "Move back to Redlining" more clearly indicates that the contract is being returned to the redlining stage for further edits. This change will help you better understand the contract's current status and next steps.
Action reorganization
To further improve the organization of your contract stages, we've moved a couple of key actions to unify them under the contract action menu:
- The actions to "Put Contract on Hold" and "Void Contract" have been moved from the contract status card to the contract action menu.
- This means that all four state-changing actions – "Send for Signing," "Move back to Redlining," "Put Contract on Hold," and "Void Contract" – are now conveniently located in the same place, making it easier to manage your contracts across different stages.
Where You'll See the Update:
These changes will be reflected across the entire SpotDraft Application, including in:
- The Contract Action Menu: The primary location where you initiate these actions.
- The Contract Summary Card: Where contextual actions may be found.
- Relevant Modals: Any pop-up windows or modals associated with these actions.
- Relevant Tooltips: The small text boxes that appear when you hover over these actions.
Why These Changes Matter
These updates are part of our ongoing effort to ensure SpotDraft is easy to use and reflects the way you think about your contract workflows. By adopting terms that are more intuitive and descriptive, and by consolidating key actions into a single location, we aim to enhance your experience and streamline your contract stage management processes.
Important Note: These are purely terminology and reorganisation updates. The underlying functionality of these actions remains the same. |
We appreciate your understanding as we roll out these changes and are here to assist with any questions or feedback. Please feel free to reach out to product@spotdraft.com with any feedback you have.
