Create a New Upload and Sign Workflow on SpotDraft

Here’s how you can set up an upload and sign workflow with Workflow Manager on SpotDraft

In this guide, we’ll see how you can upload third-party contracts and collect signatures using Workflow Manager.

 

So let’s start.

 
  • First and foremost, let’s set up the signatures required in your workflow.
  • Under Manage, Select Contract Types.

  • Select the contract type which you want to add signatories for. We’ll go with the Sales Agreement here.

  • In the main view, select the signatories tab, and then select the specific entity.

  • Here you can customize how you require signatures — The signing order, whether you require a complete signature, or just the initials, who all can approve the document for signatures and more.

  • Now let’s head back and create an Upload workflow and assign it to the “sales agreement” contract type.

How to set up a Third-Party Paper Workflow

  • To create a new workflow, let’s fire up Workflow Manager from the sidebar under Manage.

  • Click on New Workflow Configuration

  • Fill in the details as shown below. Please select Third-Party Paper Workflow as the Workflow Type.

  • You’ll need to set up the Intake form on the next page. The intake form collects all the necessary details of the third-party contracts. This helps business and legal users take appropriate actions and prioritize contracts with the given information.

  • Click the setup button and add a new section to begin the intake form setup. You can add as many sections as you like.

  • Enter the details of your question in the form below and click Create.

  • Create a new section, and start adding your questions. To add a question enter these details and click on Create.

  • Once you’re done with the questions, head back.

  • Next up, let’s set up approvals. Head to the approval section by selecting Approvals on the left pane.

  • To start adding approvals, click on your desired entity or select all entities. In this case, we’ll go with all entities. Click on Add Approvals

  • Now, a new right pane will open where you can add approvers to the workflow. Just fill up the form and click on Save.

  • That’s it. Your workflow is ready. To publish the workflow, select Publish workflow.

  • Now, whoever uses this workflow will be able to upload a new third-party contract and collect signatures automatically from the concerned parties.
