In this guide, we'll see how to upload and prepare a contract for signing using SpotDraft Sign. Step 1:  Click on “+” New and select “Send for signature”

Step 2:  The Upload Contract modal opens up, where you can upload up to 5 contracts for signature in the doc, docx, or PDF format.

The maximum supported file size for uploads is 30MB per file. If you need to upload a larger file, we recommend using a file compressor. This will help ensure a smooth uploading experience.

Step 3:  In the section, for additional data, add contract information like Contract Type and counterparty name

You can add up to 10 counterparties for a single contract. To capture additional information, set up intake Forms for the relevant contract types.

Step 4:  Click on “Prepare for Signing” under the Contract Status card to assign signatories and relevant fields for execution.

Step 5:  Click on “Add Recipients” in the manage recipients card to assign recipients. Select the party from the drop-down.

Once the “Add Recipients” card opens

  • Select the party from the drop-down in the Party column

  • Define the role of the recipient from the recipient type column as an "Approver," "Recipient," or "Viewer.”

  • Add the name and email, and save.

  • To add more recipients, click "Save and Add Another.”
  • Once you are done adding all the recipients simply click on “Add”

Step 6: Click on the "Assign Field" button to begin assigning signature blocks.

Effortlessly set the signing order by turning on the signing order toggle. Once enabled, easily drag and drop parties into the desired sequence.

Step 7: Drag and drop signature fields to the designated locations on the contract. Repeat this process for all signatories. Finally, click 'Review and Send' to send for signature collection.
