In this guide, we'll see how to upload and prepare a contract for signing using SpotDraft Sign. Step 1: Click on “+” New and select “Send for signature”
Step 2: The Upload Contract modal opens up, where you can upload up to 5 contracts for signature in the doc, docx, or PDF format.
Step 3: In the section, for additional data, add contract information like Contract Type and counterparty name
Step 4: Click on “Prepare for Signing” under the Contract Status card to assign signatories and relevant fields for execution.
Step 5: Click on “Add Recipients” in the manage recipients card to assign recipients. Select the party from the drop-down.
Once the “Add Recipients” card opens
- Select the party from the drop-down in the Party column
- Define the role of the recipient from the recipient type column as an "Approver," "Recipient," or "Viewer.”
- Add the name and email, and save.
- To add more recipients, click "Save and Add Another.”
- Once you are done adding all the recipients simply click on “Add”
Step 6: Click on the "Assign Field" button to begin assigning signature blocks.
Step 7: Drag and drop signature fields to the designated locations on the contract. Repeat this process for all signatories. Finally, click 'Review and Send' to send for signature collection.
