Connecting SpotDraft to ChatGPT (Desktop App)

Last updated: September 8, 2026

The SpotDraft connection is created and configured in ChatGPT on the web -- the desktop app can only use a connection that already exists.

First-time setup

Create the connection on the web first, whether you're a workspace admin publishing it for your team or setting it up on an individual account. Follow 📄 Connecting SpotDraft to ChatGPT (Web)

Once it's created, check whether SpotDraft shows up as an available connection in the desktop app.

Connect your account (if it's already set up)

  1. Open Plugins from the sidebar or Settings in the desktop app.

  2. Look for the SpotDraft connection your organization has published.

  3. If you can see it, follow the same connect-and-sign-in steps as the web flow: 📄 Connecting SpotDraft to ChatGPT (Web)

  4. If the option is missing entirely, use ChatGPT on the web instead -- availability can differ by app version and product surface, and not every connection surfaces in the desktop app yet.

Once connected, run a test question to confirm it's actually working, not just visible.

If it doesn't work

See Troubleshooting, particularly "Can I use it in the desktop or mobile app?"
