Set up workflows that skip the redlining stage, ideal for employment agreements and other standardized contracts where minimal revisions are expected.
This guide helps you configure SpotDraft template workflows to streamline contract creation and approval for standardized agreements, saving time and effort by skipping the redlining step.
Why skip redlining?
For certain contract types (e.g., employment agreements, standard NDAs), extensive back-and-forth redlining isn't typically necessary. Bypassing this stage streamlines the process, accelerating contract finalization. This setting is most useful for contracts with minimal expected revisions. For contracts requiring significant negotiation, the redlining stage is essential.
How to configure workflows to skip redlining:
- Access Workflow Manager: Navigate to the "Workflow Manager" section within your SpotDraft account.
- Select the Template Workflow: From the list of workflows, locate and select the template workflow you wish to configure. This opens the workflow details.
- Open Workflow Settings: In the workflow details, click the "Workflow Settings" button located in the upper-right corner.
- Enable "Skip Counterparty Redlining": In the Workflow Settings panel, scroll down to find the section labeled "Skip Counterparty Redlining." Toggle the switch next to "Skip Counterparty Redlining" to "On." This disables the redlining step for contracts created using this template workflow.
- Publish Workflow Changes: Click "Publish New Changes" to apply the changes to your workflow.
